About The Civil Engineering Department – University of Technology

The department has been established in 1960 and the first students graduated from the department in 1965. The Department includes six engineering branches, Structural Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management, Highway and Bridges Engineering, Sanitary and Environmental Engineering, Water and Hydraulic Structures Engineering and Geomatic Engineering.

Department mission is to prepare practical engineers in the precise disciplines of civil engineering and qualified scientists and researchers with a high level of knowledge and technological innovation and in line with the internationally approved standards in quality assurance and academic accreditation of engineering programs corresponding with the commitment to the ethics of the engineering profession.
